To meet their growing needs, BC Pension decided to move forward with a unified solution, selecting Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications as their system of choice. This comprehensive solution provides a single source of truth across Financials, Project Management, Procurement, Planning, Budgeting, Cash Forecasting, HCM, Talent Management, and Payroll.

BC Pension chose Novamodus as their transformation partner for this critical journey. In order to reduce the demand on BC Pension’s resources, an ambitious twenty one-month big-bang project was blue printed and the goal was to fully leverage the functionality of Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications from day one.
Reliable Solutions for Member Services, Empowering Pension Administration with Oracle Cloud
Thus began the journey of the implementation, to modernize BC Pension’s ERP, HCM and EPM systems, in January 2023. Novamodus, utilized their Indmodus methodology to help ensure that the demand from BC Pension’s resources is minimized.
The project went through five cycles of testing including two distinct Conference Room Pilots. Users were encouraged to play with the system immediately after the Initiation and Validation phases in order to let them touch and feel the system and learn the solution without having to wait for the User Acceptance Testing stage. This was a differentiator for the project as the users were able to gain knowledge in the system almost immediately after the Solution Design sessions.
Novamodus developed role-based training documents for every role that BC Pension’s users were assigned to. This enabled the users to get trained specifically into their areas of work rather than wade through several pages of information that may not be relevant to them. The training was also conducted in several sessions to make it easier for the users to learn and gain knowledge of the new system.
On October 7, 2024, BC Pension Corporation’s project went live successfully on all the modules in scope. The first payroll was processed successfully in the following week with no issues and the first month-end financial process was incident free
